Who is this course for?
Running a whole-school staff INSET day first aid training course is an excellent team-building opportunity, allowing staff to learn or refresh vital first-aid skills.
This training not only enhances confidence but also ensures staff are prepared to respond effectively in emergencies. With allergies on the rise and an increasing number of children prescribed adrenaline auto-injectors, this course includes essential training on administering these injections when necessary.
Each session is designed to be practical, engaging, and informative, ensuring participants leave with valuable life-saving skills.
What will you learn?
This comprehensive training covers key first aid skills, with a focus on practical application. The content includes:
Incident Management – A systematic approach to assessing casualties using a primary survey
Safe Airway Position
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Choking
Bleeding & Shock
Asthma
Seizures
Allergic Reactions and Anaphylaxis Awareness
Head Injuries
Common Childhood Illness and Playground Injuries
