2-Hour Paediatric First Aid Course

Who is this course for?

Whether you are a parent, grandparent, babysitter, or caregiver, this training is tailored for you. In just 2 hours, this course will equip you with the confidence to perform emergency first aid and essential life-saving skills.


Each session is bespoke, tailored to the needs and interests of the individual group, and delivered at a location of your choice at a time that suits you.


What will you learn?

Aligned with the current Resuscitation Council UK Guidelines, our family and caregiver courses provide comprehensive training on handling accidents and emergencies involving babies and children.

This course covers;

  • Baby and Child Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • Choking

  • Head Injuries

  • Bumps and Breaks

  • Bleeding and Burns

  • Foreign Objects in Eyes, Ears, Mouth or Nose

  • Stings and Bites

  • Allergic Reactions and Anaphylaxis Management

  • Fever Management and Febrile Convulsions

  • Meningitis, Sepsis and Other Childhood Illnesses


Additional topics available upon request;

  • Defibrillator Awareness

  • Safer Sleep Guidance

  • Safety in the Home


Duration

This course is 2 hours consisting of theoretical and practical activities.

Certification

Although there is no formal assessment, all participants will receive an e-certificate recognising their completion of this unregulated course.

At a Venue of your choice - up to 24 people. Host at home - up to 10 people

Age limit

Children are welcome, but for optimal learning, it is advised that you give yourself some well-earned time off to fully immerse yourself in the experience.

We bring the training to you! Whether it’s at your local playgroup, community centre, church, or any regular meeting place, we deliver our course at a venue of your choice. Perfect for groups of up to 24 people, our tailored sessions ensure a convenient and engaging learning experience right where you need it. Babies under 12 months are welcome.


Host At Home

This 2-hour paediatric first aid course can also be run from the comfort of your own home. A friendly, fun first aid class ideal for parents, expecting parents, family members and friends. This host-at-home course can be provided to groups of up to 10 people.


Prefer to Attend a Local Venue?

Surrey-based courses are held at various venues throughout the year, with dates advertised regularly on our website.


Start Confident First Aid offers both evening and weekday sessions, subject to availability.


Cost

  • 2-Hour Paediatric First Aid Course - £25 per person

Based on your location, there may be an additional charge for travel, which will be discussed in advance.


  • 2-Hour Host at Home Course - £200 for up to 4 delegates

Additional participants can be added for just £25 per person, up to a total of 10 delegates.
